Colwyn Bay Dog Friendly Beach

Early spring walks on this lovely clean beach, surprisingly quiet considering how pleasant the area, it is an ideal beach to take your dogs for a walk or even bring your family on a sunny day trip out. With cafe's, pubs and restaurants along the famous route to Rhos-on-Sea. This is the perfect beach to visit.

This is a 2 minute walk from Coeden Celyn to the country famous beach.

Great Orme Tramway

The Great Orme Tramway is Britain’s only funicular, or cable-hauled, tramway that travels on public roads. Delighting visitors since it opened in 1902.

The Tramway climbs a mile through the Great Orme Country Park and Nature Reserve to the Great Orme’s spectacular summit.

 

Re-live the experience of travel more than 100 years ago in the lovingly restored original tramcars, each named after a Saint.

Welsh Mountain Zoo

Llandudno Pier

Located in the jewel of North Wales, Llandudno’s north shore Victorian promenade, Llandudno Pier stretches out 2,295 feet (700m) into the Irish Sea, making it Wales’s longest Pier, and the fifth longest in the UK.

 

On top of the stunning views, it offers a wide range of attractions, concessions, and food stalls.

Pontcysyllte Aquaduct

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is the longest and highest aqueduct in the UK. Crossing the Dee Valley, it's a grade 1 listed building and part of a World Heritage Site. The aqueduct is 1,007ft (307m) long and 126ft (38m) above the river. Designed by engineer Thomas Telford, it was one of his first major projects.

Choose to walk underneath, take the high path or even travel by water on one of the many canal boat tours!

Snowdon - Yr Wyddfa Mountain

Snowdon or Yr Wyddfa is the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands.

There are six main routes that lead to the summit and can take anywhere between 4 to 7 hours to complete depending on fitness level, experience and weather conditions.

An incredible view and cafe await you at the top.

SeaQuarium Rhyl has an open seafront location and sits on the beautiful North Wales coastline. Ancient Great Orme Mines

Uncovered in 1987, the copper mines represent one of the most astounding archaeological discoveries of recent times.

 

Dating back 4,000 years to the Bronze Age, over the past 28 years mining engineers, cavers and archaeologists have been slowly uncovering more tunnels and large areas of the surface landscape to reveal what is now thought to be the largest prehistoric mine, so far discovered in the world.
